photo of Ann Zimmerman on middlewaymedicine.com Ann graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Florida. She then graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She is also a certified Qigong teacher, Shiatsu practitioner, and is nearly fluent in Spanish.

She has had the great opportunity to live and travel abroad which has deepened her respect for the diversity in the world and within each individual. She loves working with both Chinese and Western herbs and greatly respects the healing power of plants. Her special clinical areas of interest are women’s health: fertility enhancement, pregnancy, healthy menstruation and menopause.

She feels her strength as a healer lies in her ability to create a comfortable, trusting, healing space for patients to understand what ails them. She is able to communicate well, work nicely with all types of people and has a gentle and compassionate nature. She loves humor and strives to approach life from a sacred centered space. In Ann’s free time she enjoys gardening, practicing yoga and Qigong, dancing, guitar, cooking, hiking and spending time with her amazing husband, cats, dog, friends, and family. She feels grateful for every day!
